Itinerary:
08:30 AM: Meet at the designated pickup location; transportation is provided to the first farm.
09:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Visit a local taro farm; learn the history and agricultural practices of taro farming; work with farmers in taro fields.
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM: Tour a second farm, focusing on traditional Hawaiian crops; taste and learn about native fruits and vegetables.
12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Traditional Hawaiian cooking class; prepare poi, laulau, and poke using fresh, sustainable ingredients.
02:30 PM – 03:30 PM: Enjoy a communal meal, savoring the fruits of your labor surrounded by new friends and the stunning Hawaiian landscape.
03:30 PM: Depart from the farm and return to the pickup location by provided transportation.

Cancellation Policy for Travel for a Cause: Big Island Hawaii Program
- General Terms:
Travel for a Cause (“TfaC”) is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all participants in our Big Island Hawaii Program. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may lead to the need for program cancellation. This cancellation policy outlines the conditions and refund structure in such cases. - Cancellation Periods and Refund Structure:
The following cancellation periods and refund structure apply for the Big Island Hawaii Program:
a. 60 Days or more prior to the program start date:
Participants may cancel their registration with written notice and will receive a full refund, minus a $100 administrative fee.
b. 30-59 Days prior to the program start date:
Participants may cancel their registration with written notice and will receive a 50% refund, minus a $100 administrative fee.
c. 14-29 Days prior to the program start date:
Participants may cancel their registration with written notice and will receive a 25% refund, minus a $100 administrative fee.
d. Within 13 days of the program start date:
No refund will be issued.
- Cancellation by TfaC:
TfaC reserves the right to cancel the Big Island Hawaii Program due to insufficient enrollment, natural disasters, health emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund, including the $100 administrative fee, will be issued to all participants. TfaC is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees, etc.). - Travel Insurance:
TfaC strongly recommends that participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays, and baggage loss. This will help protect participants from financial loss in case of unexpected situations before or during the program. - Force Majeure:
TfaC is not liable for any cancellation, delays, changes, or losses resulting from acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, or any other circumstances beyond our control. - Cancellation Notice:
To cancel your registration for the Big Island Hawaii Program, please provide written notice through email or by mail. The date of receipt will be used to determine eligibility for a refund according to the refund structure outlined in this cancellation policy.
